SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Thank you for your interest in submitting an abstract for consideration as a presentation at the 2026 ASKP3 Annual Conference on January 29–31, 2026, in Austin, Texas, USA.
The ASKP3 Annual Conference is designed to provide a variety of educational topics that will advance the safe and ethical use of ketamine to treat mental health disorders and pain conditions. Attended by hundreds of multidisciplinary practitioners, it is an excellent opportunity to present your best practices and be recognized in front of your peers.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE
All abstracts must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, June 30, 2025. Submissions will be reviewed only if all required components are submitted before the submission close date.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Please adhere to the following formatting guidelines when submitting your proposal. Following these instructions helps us review your submission more efficiently:
- Who Can Apply to Speak? We encourage all disciplines to apply – physicians, psychotherapists, and practitioners at all levels. All topics and practice modalities/settings will be considered.
- All sessions will be live and in person. Please design your session to fit within a 50 (fifty) minute time frame. We recommend reserving ten (10) minutes at the end for Q&A.
- Designate your desired session type “Main Stage,” “Concurrent Breakout.” or “Poster Presentation.”
- Our goal is balanced panels and equal visibility opportunities for all disciplines. Sessions that meet the criteria for all three CE types – continuing medical education, social work and nurse anesthesiology – will receive priority placement.
- Co-Presenter(s) information: In addition to the submitter, you can enter two additional co-presenters up to a maximum of three (3) presenters.
- Each presenter will receive correspondence regarding the selection status of abstracts. If selected each presenter will also be responsible for completing all required materials sent out by the ASKP3 Meeting Planner.
- We require the following for EACH presenter (including co-presenters) before you can submit your abstract:
- Job Title, Company Affiliation, and Credentials (degrees) exactly as you would want the information to appear on Conference materials if your session is accepted.
- Contact information, including phone and email.
- Up-to-date CV.
- Head shot.
- Professional Biography, in third-person voice and in paragraph format. 150-word limit.
- Title of presentation. 100-character limit. Do not use abbreviations in session titles and please format with “leading caps” where appropriate.
- Program descriptor. A 100-word synopsis to appear in the on-site program materials.
- Three or more OBSERVABLE and MEASURABLE learning objectives. Learning objectives are statements that clearly describe what the learner will know or be able to do as a result of attending your educational presentation. Each objective should (1) focus on the learner and (2) contain a single action verb that describes a measurable behavior.
- GOOD VERBS: List, Describe, Apply, Analyze, Assess
- BAD VERBS: Know, Understand, Appreciate
- Abstract 500-word overall summary of the presentation.
Except by invitation, a session previously published or presented at any other conference or meeting may not be presented, unless there are new findings.
EVALUATION CRITERIA
All sessions must meet the criteria for continuing education. Additionally, proposed sessions will be evaluated on (but not limited to):
- Whether the statement of purpose and outcomes align with the ASKP3 Mission;
- Relevance to the issues and trends in ketamine in psychiatric practice and clinical management of mental health disorders;
- Alignment with ASKP3 Board-approved Standards of Practice;
- Diversity, quality, and depth of the topic;
- Balance and objectiveness of the topic;
- Scientific merit of the topic;
- Learning format of the session; and
- Qualifications of the proposed faculty.
REVIEW PROCESS
Our Conference Planning Committee, made up of a diverse group of mental health professionals, will review the proposals and educational concepts presented and evaluate the diversity, quality, and depth of the topic. Final determination as to which sessions will be selected does not occur until ALL abstracts have been submitted and reviewed.
SELECTION PROCESS
It is likely that we will not be able to accommodate all submissions. After a thorough review and thoughtful consideration, determinations will be made as to which sessions will be selected for inclusion in the Conference agenda. Acceptance and denial e-mails will be sent out by mid-August 2025 to all submitters.
