The American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists, & Practitioners (ASKP3) is the largest society and think take for ketamine practitioners.  As a non-profit Society of professionals dedicated to the safe and clinical use of ketamine for mental health disorders and pain conditions, ASKP3 represents over 500 multidisciplinary members with an Expert Faculty of 35 of the world’s top doctors, practitioners, and therapists administering ketamine.

Guidelines on the Use of Intravenous Ketamine Infusions for Depressive Disorders

n June 2026, an interdisciplinary working group of the ASKP3 Expert Faculty created Guidelines on the Use of IV Ketamine for Depressive Disorders. Using Delphi methods, these Guidelines provide evidenced-informed clinical standards of care and were published in the Journal of Affective Disorders.

Standards of Practice in the Therapeutic Use of Subanesthetic Ketamine

In July 2020, ASKP3 issued Standards of Practice in the Therapeutic Use of Subanesthetic Ketamine.  These standards are periodically reviewed by the ASKP3 Board of Directors and Expert Faculty.

Statements, Concerns and Recommendations for Safe and Effective At-Home Ketamine Prescriptions

In June 2024, ASKP3 released Statements, Concerns and Recommendations for Safe and Effective At-Home Ketamine Prescriptions.  These guidelines underscore the importance of responsible treatment and emphasize the significance of safety and proper patient selection.

In August 2024, the ASKP3 Board of Directors released Strategies to Assess and Mitigate Against Risk of Ketamine Abuse.  This statement is periodically reviewed by the ASKP3 Board of Directors and Expert Faculty.
