This is a two-day course designed exclusively for practitioners seeking to add ketamine administration to their practice. Day one focuses on ketamine essentials to include clinical administration of ketamine as well as clinic preparations for the setting, supporting therapy modalities, and safety screening protocols.
Day two is designed to give participants a day of hands-on experiences in IV administration, pumps, monitors, and billing/insurance procedures. Please be aware that attendees will participate in IV administration training. Ketamine will not be administered at any point during this event.
Attendees will receive a certificate of completion recognizing their achievement and participation in this training program (must attend all programming to qualify). Registration is limited to 75 attendees. Register early and bring your medical staff!

Target Audience

Attendee Cancellation Policy
Full payment is due at the time of registration. A refund less a $250 processing fee will be given for cancellations from those who submit a written request to ASKP3. Requests must be received by August 1, 2024. No refunds will be given after August 1, 2024. Requests must be submitted to info@askp.org. Faculty
Erin Amato, MD
Dr. Erin Amato, MD, is the Medical Director of Montana Psychiatry & Brain Health Center in Billings and Bozeman, Montana. She is double Board certified in general and child and adult psychiatry. She has been administering ketamine in her practice since 2014 and has overseen the administration over 6,000 ketamine and esketamine treatments since that time. She has completed training in ketamine and psychedelic medicine through the Psychedelic Research and Training Institute (PRATI). Her practice is focused on breakthrough treatments in mental health for treatment-resistant depression and also includes the use of TMS. She has been a member of the Clinical TMS Society since 2015 and was recently selected to be a member of the Outreach Committee. She is on faculty for the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI) Fellowship and the Online Ketamine Medical Provider Training. She is also on faculty for The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and is Board certified in antiaging and regenerative medicine. Dr. Amato is committed to raising public awareness about ketamine, TMS, psychedelics, and other innovative psychiatric treatments and has appeared on CBS, Fox, and NBC news affiliates providing information about these and other topics.
Jeffrey Becker, MD
Jeffrey Becker, MD, has over 20 years of research and clinical experience in NMDA-receptor pharmacology and clinical use, and was one of the first MDs in the U.S. administering and documenting ketamine for depression in the clinic. His long experience with patients has produced a teaching that offers grounding paradigms and therapeutic skills to mental health ketamine practitioners involved in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
Ruchir Gupta, MD
Dr. Gupta is double board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He currently uses IV ketamine infusion therapy for multiple chronic pain conditions such as CRPS, fibromyalgia, central sensitization, neuropathy and more. He has published more that 20 peer-reviewed publications, some of which focus exclusively on IV ketamine therapy.
Christine Pilarski, RHIT, CPC, CPMA, CASCC, CCC, AAPC
Christine has a comprehensive background with more than 19 years’ experience with Revenue Cycle Management, Outpatient and Professional Services, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), Health Information Management (HIM), and Auditing and Coding Education in multispecialty environments. As a Senior Consultant with LWCI, Christine has worked on multiple IRO engagements ranging from Evaluation and Management audits to Sleep Medicine audits. In addition to the IRO engagements, she has been involved in health plan cost report audits for Medicare Advantage Plans, short-stay hospital admission audits, E/M audits, HCC Risk Adjustment audits, documentation audits, behavioral health audits relating to psychotherapy, TMS treatment, and esketamine treatments. Christine has been instrumental in researching topics for client education, including the use of psilocybin for treatment-resistant depression, chronic condition management, post-PHE telehealth, and incident-to billing, to name a few.
Sandhya Prashad, MD
Sandhya Prashad, MD, is a Board-certified psychiatrist specializing in interventional modalities for treatment-resistant disorders with a particular interest and expertise in ketamine therapy. She completed both medical school and psychiatry residency at Baylor College of Medicine. She has been in private practice in the Houston area since 2011 and has been utilizing intravenous ketamine since 2016. She has personally administered over 15,000 treatments with ketamine or esketamine. She is the founder and medical director of Sandhya J. Prashad, MD, Houston Ketamine Therapeutics, and Houston TMS Therapeutics. Dr. Prashad is involved on an international level with furthering awareness and education regarding the safe and effective use of ketamine. Dr. Prashad presents frequently on a national level both to the public and to other physicians regarding the use of ketamine for psychiatric disorders. She also serves on several advisory panels for ketamine-related research. She is also a faculty member of the Integrative Psychiatry Institute where she assisted in developing the curriculum for the ketamine medical provider training. Dr. Prashad has been appointed as a clinical assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences where she assists in education of residents and medical students regarding the use of ketamine, esketamine, and TMS in clinical practice. She is also a founding member and the current President of ASKP3.
Daniel Sternthal
Daniel Sternthal is a recognized authority on regulatory, business, and policy issues related to health care. He serves as strategic counsel to a diverse range of health care entities (both for-profit and not-for-profit) as they evaluate regulatory, administrative, and transactional opportunities and navigate through challenges. For the last 20 years Daniel has focused his practice on the health care industry, representing providers across the continuum of care including medical practices, ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals, long-term care facilities, health care start-ups, medical device companies, and an array of ancillary service providers on issues relating to regulatory, operational, and corporate matters.
Daniel is Board Certified in Health Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a certification held by fewer than 80 attorneys statewide, and serves on the organization’s Health Law Exam Commission. He is an active member of the national, state, and local health care Bar, currently serving as Chair of the American Health Law Association’s Post-Acute & Long Term Service Practice Group and an officer of the State Bar of Texas’ Health Law Section. Daniel has previously served as a member of the LeadingAge Legal Committee and as an officer of the Houston Bar Association’s Health Law Section. He also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston-Clear Lake where he taught a course on the Legal Aspects of Healthcare Administration and held a position as an adjunct professor for the Spring 2016 semester at the University of Houston, teaching a course on Long-Term Care and the Law.
Daniel earned his JD from The University of Texas School of Law. He holds a master’s degree from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a bachelor’s degree from McGill University.
Patrick Sullivan, DO
Dr. Patrick ‘Rocky’ Sullivan is a board-certified emergency physician and is the founder and medical director of Initia Nova in Cherry Hill, NJ. Dr. Sullivan completed his residency in 2007 and spent the next 12 years working in a specialized ER, frequently treating acute and chronic psychiatric and substance abuse emergencies. In 2016 he founded his outpatient treatment facility at Initia Nova to offer advanced treatments for these common conditions, as it was clear that the status quo was just not working. After seeing the amazing impact of ketamine infusion therapy on depression, Dr. Sullivan continued to expand Initia Nova, offering ketamine assisted psychotherapy for PTSD in 2017, along with groundbreaking treatment programs for alcohol use disorder. In 2018 he began providing TMS and has developed a personalized accelerated theta burst protocol which provides an excellent alternative to ketamine therapy, or sometimes in conjunction. In 2019 he was trained in the utilization of NAD infusions, and expanded on his addiction treatments with a combination of these advanced techniques plus psychotherapy for a truly comprehensive approach. In 2019 Dr. Sullivan was recruited to work in a specialized Neurologic Emergency Department led by Global Neurosciences Institute. In the Neuro ER he specializes in diagnosing and treating ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, as well as acute and chronic headaches. Bridging the gap between the physical and psychological aspects of brain science to heal the whole person is the driving focus of Dr. Sullivan’s work. He understands the complex interplay between physical illness and pain, and the neurobiology of mood disorders and addiction. Initia Nova also offers a comprehensive headache treatment program, a combination of advanced treatments and specializing in migraine and post traumatic headache, and the frequent comorbidities that accompany them.
Harriett Wall, CHC, MBA
Harriett Wall, CHC, MBA, is President and CEO of LW Consulting, Inc., a national healthcare consulting firm. She guides practices where ketamine and esketamine treatments are provided with payment issues, compliance, and audit. She has been a speaker for healthcare professional associations including ASKP3. She holds a Certificate in Healthcare Compliance and is an active member of HCCA and AHLA.
How to Receive CE Credit
All attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion when sessions conclude on the evening of Saturday, September 14 (must attend all sessions to qualify). To receive CE credits, ASKP3 has partnered with PeerPoint for CMEs and has applied for credits from the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology, and with the American Psychological Association. Attendees will be provided instructions on reporting following completion of the program.
Participants must attend all two days of the program, in order to receive full credit.
